Austin ISD Special Education Department

Menchaca provides a range of special education services for students with a diagnosed disability.  Inclusion and Resource support are provided for students with learning disabilities in grades 1-5.

PPCD, Pre-school Program for Children with a Disability, provides services for students between the ages of 3-6 years old. Questions regarding this program please email our ECSE teacher.

Additionally, Menchaca is a centralized campus for SBS (Social Behavioral Skills), for students with behavioral needs, and SCORES (Social Communication Resources and Services), for students on the autism spectrum.

We are very proud of the work we do with our students and families to ensure students have the most inclusive learning experience with the academic support they need and high academic rigor.
